This modest, elegant home is located in the old Holmes Hole neighborhood along Vineyard Haven’s harbor. The existing house is a rare shingled example of the Greek Revival.
The challenge here was to provide a recognizable main entrance plus to open the water façade to the views of the harbor with the addition of the glass porch. Small here is beautiful, with the new work complementing but not overshadowing the existing.
